ContentEd Ambassadors Network

A leadership circle shaping the future of content strategy in the education sector

Initial round of applications open until 31 March 2026.

Lead the future of ContentEd

What if the ContentEd community wasn’t just something you joined - but something you helped shape?

We’re launching the ContentEd ambassadors network: a small, carefully selected group of education content, marketing and communication professionals who will play an active role in shaping discussion, surfacing emerging themes, and strengthening peer-led learning across our community.

Why we’re creating the ambassadors network

ContentEd has always been about more than content. It’s about culture, collaboration and shared expertise across the education sector.

But thriving communities don’t happen by accident.

They grow when visible leaders:

  • initiate meaningful discussions

  • share practice openly

  • challenge thinking

  • and bring others into the conversation

The ambassadors network is designed to create that leadership layer within the community.

The purpose

The ContentEd ambassadors network exists to:

  • Strengthen peer-led engagement within the ContentEd community

  • Surface emerging challenges and themes across the sector

  • Co-create and shape the ContentEd session programme

  • Develop visible leaders in education content strategy and marketing

Ambassadors act as stewards of the community’s energy and direction.

Who we’re looking for

We’re inviting applications from experienced professionals working in education marketing, communications and content roles.

You might be:

  • Leading content strategy at an institution

  • Driving AI experimentation in marketing

  • Shaping UX and content design practice

  • Leading postgraduate recruitment campaigns

  • Building research communications strategy

  • Rethinking analytics and performance

We’re particularly keen to reflect the breadth of our community themes:

  • Content design and UX writing

  • Content marketing and SEO

  • Content strategy and operations

  • AI and emerging technology

  • Social media and community engagement

  • Research and analytics

Ambassadors will align with one primary theme and help energise discussion in that space.

We are aiming for 12–16 ambassadors internationally, with an English-speaking focus.

Why become an ambassador?

Because leadership in our sector doesn’t just happen inside your institution.

It happens when you:

  • Shape conversations beyond your organisation

  • Connect across institutions and borders

  • Contribute to raising the bar for content practice in education

  • Build your professional visibility and credibility

The ambassadors network is a platform for influence, collaboration and growth.

What do Ambassadors do?

Ambassadors take on a 12-month renewable leadership role within the ContentEd community.

Term and expectations

  • 12-month fixed term

  • Renewable by invitation or reapplication

  • Clear contribution expectations

  • Participation in at least one skills session or workshop per quarter

We will review engagement levels to ensure the network remains active and impactful.

01 ACTIVATE DISCUSSION

Each quarter, ambassadors will:

  • Initiate at least two thoughtful discussion threads aligned to their theme

  • Contribute meaningfully to other discussions

  • Show up visibly in live sessions

02 SHAPE THE PROGRAMME

Each ambassador will:

  • Recommend at least one session topic per year

  • Suggest or help identify potential speakers

  • Contribute to shaping the brief or framing of that session

03 SURFACE INSIGHT

Ambassadors will:

  • Share emerging trends and challenges from their institutions

  • Act as a sounding board for new ideas

  • Help identify gaps in our content and conversations
